Officially formed in 2007 by Eric Labrie and Mezzo-soprano Mireille Tessier, Kalte Traurigkeit released, in 2008, their first album called "Equilibrium". The album neoclassical, dark ambient tones are characterized by heavy strings sections, a sorrowful feel and a cinematic soundscape. Soprano Genevieve Roussel entered Kalte Traurigkeit in March of 2013.
